The purpose of meetings is to review the progress of work in different countries under the earlier projects in 2005-2006 and to prepare the work plan for each country for 2007-2008. The work is divided into 7 Tasks in the areas of radiological protection of patients in diagnostic radiology (radiography, CT, mammography), interventional procedures using fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy. The objective is to achieve patient dose reduction while maintaining image quality and avoiding accidental exposures. The radiological protection of family members and caregivers while dealing with patients to whom radionuclides have been administered for therapy is also included. For further details »
