Interventional Radiology

Interventional procedures using X rays necessitate consideration of both patient and staff protection. Considerable patient exposure can occur in some procedures with potential for deterministic injuries. There are also possibilities of deterministic injuries in staff. Since many interventional radiological procedures involve a similar level and pattern of exposure as therapeutic cardiac catheterizations, the links on this page are currently to interventional radiology and cardiology.
